NYC : Day 3 (Part 2)
There is a proper Egyptian tomb that has been transported and rebuilt and you can walk in there and everything. As you can tell my my face, and my rambling, I was LOVING every second of it. Nerd Alert.
From the Egyptians, we moved to the boy area: swords, guns and suits of armour. I did happen to get excited to see Henry VIII's suits of armour. His last one is ENORMOUS! From a distance I saw the suit and said "I would totally not mess with that guy" then, upon realising it was Henry I did a little squeal/dance combo. Have I mentioned I am a massive museum nerd?
I think the likeness to the 'before' is quite uncanny, don'tcha think? Warhol captured me well...
We walked what seemed like a million miles in the heat and humidity of the afternoon to Grand Central Station. Rory had never been before, so we wandered around and took photos and tried to remember which films this was a location for.
You may be able to see another bride and groom in the background. The groom was eating a burger. Classy. You may also be able to tell I was tired, hot and bothered and ever so slightly grumpy by this point. I do not do well in high temperatures.
We retired to the hotel to eat proper New York pizza in bed with beer and a film. A pretty perfect end to the day for me.
